Tanking the Economy for A Huge Profit?

Image
The background September 15, 1916 the first ever tank was used during the battle of Flers-Courcelette in World War One. December 7, 1941 the Japanese military attacked the United States at Pearl Harbor. Millitary attacks tend to go back and fourt, and as expected, 4 years later on August 6, 1945 the United States dropped two bombs on the Japanese city’s of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Shortly after, the United States went on to win their second World War. Both of these wins helped with two major boosts in the United States economy. The thinking   A few of these facts got me thinking. First the tanks, then the back and fourth that goes on between militaries, and last, the ease that a country’s economy gets weaker and stronger. This is what got me thinking about the tanking of the United States economy, a financially genius idea.   The Trip Recently I had a fantastic vacation to Canada. There were beautiful mountains, I was with my best friends, and I got...

I'm Really Optimistic about $GE

Image
Damn this group still does finance!  GE recently was taken off the Dow, the last original member of the index, due to continued struggles down 50% year on year. Our Tweet As referenced on the tweet tombstone the main cause was a sort of overextension where they ended up with too many divisions operating in too many industries, and it just wasn't profitable enough. Edit: They actually got replaced by Walgreens and not CVS so I apologize for the erroneous shot at CVS. Now for the optimism:  CEO John Flannery is trimming the fat, cutting dividends, and seems to have a plan for the future.  They offloaded $20 billion in assets the GE Lighting, Transportation, Oil and Gas, and Healthcare.  They are going to focus on big revenue divisions of Aviation, Power, Renewable Energy, and Capital.  They are up substantially in the past week so maybe investors are buying in.   I'm hopeful because GE is an awesome, historic, company.  Also I own ...

Pitbull Banned From Delta Airlines

Image
Just heard that Pitbull, the iconic artist who gets everyone jumping in the club has been banned from Delta Airlines for yelling "Mr. Worldwide!" every time the plane takes off. This is the first I have heard of this and I have to say, let the man have his fun.  I mean, he is Mr. Worldwide and planes are literally instruments of worldwide travel.  At least let him enjoy himself because lord knows he has nothing else going on (cough cough Gotti original score).  That is a richochet shot at a terrible movie but Pitbull has certainly fallen off.  If anything Delta should be hiring Pitbull as a brand promoter.  You know how amazing the commercials would be!  Thinking now maybe yelling "I'm on fireball" is a bad look for an airline but the point still stands.    I want Pitbull back on top of the game.  #FreePitbull and I am boycotting Delta until I can ride a flight with Pitbull. Edit:  People are telling me that Delta actually banned ...

Allow us to reintroduce ourselves...

Welcome to the official blog of Stockitchen. Whether you are a long time follower or new to the firm, allow us to reintroduce ourselves. What is Stockitchen? Many have asked, and there is no one sure answer. Over the years we have morphed from a small investment group to a conglomerate with ties to various sectors. We have conquered the spinoff beverage game with Rootbeer Squared. Disrupted the nutrition instagram world with HoneyyyGraham. Dominated the virtual urban bodega market with J/G Minimart. It is only natural that we now move to the blog space. What will this blog be? The Stockitchen blog will be where you can read the opinions, takes, analysis, and commentary of Stockitchen's founders and contributors. It will have no set focus, and the content is up to the contributors. It may be funny. It may be serious. It may be downright scholarly. Hopefully all entertaining, and if you aren't we will be. Follow our Twitter @stockitchen to see when your favorite personalities...
