Apple is an Absolute Wagon

I'm back from vacation and Apple is an absolute wagon.  If you weren't paying attention, they just became the first company to hit one trillion dollars in market cap, which is just a ridiculous valuation.  They have been completely shit-pumping the tech sector and global markets in general since Jobs retook control in '97.  At that point the company was, according to Jobs, "90 days from bankruptcy".  Since then, they have risen to be the biggest company in the world by market cap.

$AAPL financials read like they are fake.  The mountain of cash they have is infamous, sitting at 31.97B.  That is just cash on hand.  You take into account marketable securities and long term securities/overseas cash that pile grows to over 200 billion in cash.  Apple could outright buy companies like Disney, Netflix, Electronic Arts, and Tesla with cash.  Gross margins are increasing and they just beat on earnings.  They are looking strong, and this is supposed to be the slow season of Apple's super-cycle based off fall tech releases.

What contributed to this rise to dominance.  Apple is simply cooler than every other tech company.  You could tell me the Samsung Galaxy's specs are 10x better than the iPhone and I will never buy it because Samsung is lame.  I think everyone judges the shit out of people without iPhones, even more so than people judge others with Sprint or T-Mobile carrier service.  You see those green messages and know you are either texting an old person or a squid.  I will always buy iPhones for as long as I live.

Anyways I'm here for Apple dominance.

Today Starbucks announced that they will not be serving straws in their beverages anymore, instead opting for an eco-friendly lid, with a sippy cup style mouthpiece. This change comes as in response to the growing movement to keep plastic trash out of the ocean, and specifically to save sea turtles. Starbucks is full of sh*t. Power Ranking Cups of Coffee

Some may know that Stockitchen's partners are huge coffee people and I am certainly to be counted amongst those ranks.  Since coffee continues to be a focus for us, I thought I would write a blog power ranking my favorite cups of coffee.  Let's get into it: 5.  Any coffee with some sort of personal name in the blend name. Major Dickason's Blend is my favorite mass-market coffee, from Peet's Coffee. It is a damn good coffee but it has an even better name.  I don't even know who the Major (is he even real) is but he sounds pretty cool so I love to be associated.  Sir Shackleton's Stout is maybe the very best whole bean coffee I have ever purchased.  It is from Moka Joe, a roaster out of Anacortes, Washington.
